Risk Stock Management - Fresh Products

In this article, I'm going to explain how to visualize the risk stock management details on higher level with the help of Waffle chart.

Definition :

Risk Stock Management is nothing but clearing the near to expiry stocks considering the product forecast, Shelf life, available days to sell, sellable quantity and left over stock (Risk Stock). Based on these details we will propose the intended promotion to be setup.

In the coming articles I will explain how to calculate these attributes, for now lets concentrate on the Below waffle chart.

* Waffle Chart : A waffle chart is basically a square display, usually consisting of 100 smaller squares arranged in a 10-by-10 layout. It shows progress towards a target or a completion percentage.

* The above waffle chart provides the information of each categories contribution towards its total risk stock in percentage followed by the proposed promotion to be setup along with risk stock.

* By providing these higher level visualization to the concerned departments with some vital filters like stock purchase date, Supplier details etc will help them to see the data at the granular level.
